Engagement sessions are your warm-up for the wedding — a chance to get comfortable in front of the lens before the big day. Here’s what we’ve learned about what photographs beautifully.
Go neutral first
Creams, dusty blues, warm browns, muted greens, and soft golds all read cinematic on camera. Save brights for accent pieces.
Avoid busy patterns
Small patterns vibrate on camera. Stick to solids or very large scale prints.
Layer
Jackets, scarves, textured knits — layers catch light and add dimension.
Coordinate, don’t match
Pick a palette of two or three tones and dress within it.
Comfort wins
If you can’t move in it, it shows. Bring backup shoes for walking.
Send us your outfit photos before the session — we’re happy to help you pick.
